How to Become a United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) Counselor
Decatur First UMC’s UMYF group offers middle and high school-age worshippers and their friends a place to find community and fellowship in an environment that promotes Christian values and attitudes. A vital and integral component of the UMYF program is the adult leaders who commit to serving as friends, mentors, and positive examples in the lives of these students.

Youth Leadership Opportunities

Youth Leadership Team
Youth Leadership Team is our leadership team for the youth ministry. Your child will work together with counselors and other students to help develop the various plans for Sunday night UMYF, outreach events, and additional activities such as ASP and service opportunities. In addition, they will provide feedback on the needs of our youth and how we should respond to these needs.
