Theatre & Drama

Decatur First has established a thriving dramatic arts program. We perform both secular production such as popular plays and  musicals and non-secular dramatic readings, interpretations and enactments from the Bible during special services. If you want to use your singing, acting or dramatic talents at Decatur First, please contact Sharon Brewer or Melinda Mobley.

The Drama Action Team of DFUMC announces the 2010 fall production:

To Kill a Mockingbird


Based on the classic novel by Harper Lee, the play tells a coming-of-age story of a young girl and her brother in a small Southern town in 1935. Extraordinary circumstances cause Scout and her brother, Jem to learn powerful lessons about integrity, bravery, and the true meaning of community. 
 
The play will be performed October 14, 15, 16 and 17.
