Based on our United Methodist Roots
For members and worshipers who are familiar with and desire the long-standing United Methodist style of worship service, we draw inspiration from those deep Methodist roots. The Traditional Worship services are more formal in style, with music led by the organist playing familiar United Methodist hymns. Our Chancel Choir and the Bell Choir also provide music as a part of this worship service. Worshippers will be deeply connected by their shared experience following the rhythm of the call to worship, communal and responsive prayers and liturgy, scripture readings, and joys and concerns style prayer time.

Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month and includes a traditional liturgy.

For more information on Decatur First UMC’s Traditional Services, please contact Worship Leader Dr. David Naglee at dsnaglee@decaturfirst.org and at 404-378-4541 x.12.

Details on United Methodist beliefs are available here.
