Decatur First UMC offers three worship services on Sunday mornings. All three services include scripture readings, a sermon, singing, and music led by either choirs at our traditional services or a worship band at our CAYA "Come As You Are" service.

Children

Children of all ages are welcome in any of the worship services. If you would prefer, nursery care for infants and toddlers is provided from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Kinderchurch care is an option for two to five year olds and is provided by a rotating group of parents. First and second graders may attend Children's Church, a worship service tailored to them, at 11:20 a.m. More Info...

Communion

The communion table of the United Methodist Church is open, and you do not need to be a member of the church to participate. The invitation to the table is an invitation to a personal and lasting relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Everyone is welcome at the table, including persons of all ages. Communion is typically served the 1st Sunday of every month.

Joining Decatur First United Methodist Church

Church membership is open to any and all who seek the presence of God in their lives.

The process of joining is typically initiated by contacting one of the ministers and filling out a New Member Information Form available online here. It is not required that you contact a minister prior to joining.
