Madeline Örményi

Pastoral Resident

Madeline Örményi is a writer and educator originally from San Diego, California, but most recently from New York City, where she worked as a writing instructor and program manager. She earned a BA in English & Creative Writing from Barnard College of Columbia University, and is currently working on her MDiv at Candler School of Theology. At her home church of St. Paul & St. Andrew UMC, she is chair of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee and sings with the chancel choir. When she's not writing papers or reading, she enjoys hiking, being in nature, writing poetry, collaging, and cooking. Madeline, her wife Lhana, and their two cats Ginkgo and Juno are excited to make Decatur their new home!
